Faber Fireplaces

Faber occupies a leading position in the European market for top of the range gas fires and stoves.  Established in 1844, Faber is one of the foremost pioneers of balanced-flue, hole-in-the-wall gas fires.  

The Dutch company started by Jan Geerrits Faber was established as a blacksmith’s shop.  In addition to fireplaces, the business also made bicycles, skates, hay and straw balers and safes.  When natural gas was discovered at nearby Slochteren in the sixties, fireplaces became all the rage.  For Faber, this provided sufficient reason to concentrate its efforts on the design and production of quality gas fires. 

The business was gradually developed into a market leader in the field of chimney-based fires.  In 1996, Faber launched its very first fires with closed combustion technology, a safe technique which has since been adopted by many other manufacturers. The stratospheric growth these room-sealed, glass-fronted gas fires which are also highly-efficient continues unabated.  All Faber gas fires and stoves are sold through carefully selected distributors and partners, and FireStyles is proud to be the exclusive distributor of this unique brand in Cheltenham and Gloucester.  With one of the most comprehensive displays in the Midlands, FireStyles is one of the few Centres of Excellence for Faber Fires in the United Kingdom.
